Account and purchase information
- Full name;
- Email address;
- Telephone number, where provided;
- Billing address;
- Order details;
- Course purchased;
- Transaction date and amount;
- Account login information; and
- Communications with customer support.
Participant and guardian information
Where the Participant is under 19, we may collect:
- Parent or guardian name;
- Parent or guardian email;
- Relationship to the Participant;
- Participant's name;
- Participant's age or age range; and
- Guardian consent records.
We do not require a full date of birth unless reasonably necessary for a specific purpose that is explained at collection.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment-card and billing information according to its own privacy policy.
We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
Technical and usage information
We and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Device and browser type;
- Login dates and times;
- Pages or course materials viewed;
- Website interactions;
- Approximate location derived from an IP address;
- Cookie identifiers; and
- Security and error information.
Optional information
We may collect information voluntarily submitted by a customer, such as:
- Survey responses;
- Reviews;
- Testimonials;
- Progress information;
- Photographs or videos; and
- Questions or feedback.
We will obtain additional consent before publicly using an identifiable photograph, video or testimonial unless another lawful basis applies.
3. Why we collect and use information
We may collect and use personal information to:

- Process purchases and payments;
- Deliver course access;
- Verify age and guardian authorization;
- Send receipts, login instructions and service messages;
- Provide customer support;

We will not require consent to collect, use or disclose information beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the purchased service.
4. Consent
By providing personal information, a person consents to its collection, use and disclosure for the purposes identified at or before collection.
Consent may be withdrawn by contacting privacy@axisdevelopment.ca, subject to reasonable notice and legal or contractual restrictions.
Withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing account access or another requested service where the information is necessary to provide that service.
5. Promotional communications
Customers may separately choose to receive promotional emails and offers.
Marketing consent is optional and is not required to purchase the course.
Promotional messages will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe method.
A person may unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in a promotional email, or contacting privacy@axisdevelopment.ca.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or service communications, such as receipts, password resets, course-access information or security notices.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website and course platform may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep users signed in;
- Remember account preferences;
- Process checkout activity;
- Prevent fraud;
- Measure website performance;
- Understand how users interact with the website; and
- Support advertising where permitted.
Users may be able to restrict cookies through their browser. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website or course platform from working properly.
We do not currently use advertising cookies. We use Stripe for payment processing, which sets its own cookies as part of Checkout.
7. When we disclose information
We may provide personal information to service providers that assist us with:
- Payment processing;
- Website hosting;
- Course delivery;
- Email delivery;
- Customer support;
- Data storage;
- Analytics;
- Accounting;
- Fraud prevention; and
- Legal or professional advice.
Service providers are permitted to use the information only for the applicable services or as otherwise legally permitted.

- With the person's consent;
- To investigate fraud, security incidents or violations of our agreements;
- Where required by a court order, warrant, subpoena or applicable law;

- As part of a proposed or completed sale, financing or reorganization of the business, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
8. Information processed outside Canada
Some service providers may store or process information outside British Columbia or Canada.
Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, governments or law-enforcement authorities in accordance with those laws.
Relevant service providers include our hosting provider (Railway), payment processor (Stripe), and database provider (Supabase).
9. Information concerning minors
A Participant under 19 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the purchase.
We aim to collect only the minor information reasonably necessary to:
- Provide course access;
- Identify the authorized Participant;
- Record guardian authorization; and
- Administer the account.
A parent or legal guardian may contact privacy@axisdevelopment.ca to ask about information associated with the minor, subject to identity verification and applicable law.
The course is not intended to be purchased independently by a person under 19.
10. Information security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including:
- Password controls;
- Restricted staff access;
- Reputable payment and hosting providers;
- Secure website connections;
- Software updates;
- Account monitoring; and
- Secure deletion procedures.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account passwords.
11. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide course access;
- Complete the purposes identified in this Policy;
- Maintain business, tax and transaction records;
- Resolve disputes;
- Prevent fraud;
- Enforce agreements; and
- Meet legal obligations.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we will securely delete it or remove identifying information, subject to technical, legal and business limitations.
12. Access and correction requests
A person may submit a written request to:

- Learn how that information has been used;
- Learn to whom it has been disclosed; or
- Correct an error or omission.
Requests should be sent to privacy@axisdevelopment.ca and include enough detail for us to identify the person and the requested information.
We may request reasonable identity verification before responding.
Access may be limited where permitted or required by law, including where disclosure would reveal another person's information or protected confidential information.

Privacy complaints may be sent to our Privacy Officer at privacy@axisdevelopment.ca, including:

- The requested resolution.
We will review and respond to complaints within a reasonable period.

Our website or course may contain links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties. Users should review the applicable third party's privacy policy before providing personal information.

The current version will be posted on our website with its effective date.
